Guardo In Alto, now in its second edition and realised with the Istituto Comprensivo Giovanni Palombini, located in the Rebibbia district, thanks to the support of MiBACT and SIAE, within the framework of the “Per Chi Crea” programme.
Guardo In Alto will curate, for the duration of the 2019/2020 school year, an approach to artistic training divided into three modules – one dedicated to images, one to writing and one to digital storytelling – led by Sara Basta, Niccolò Matkovic, Laura Accardo, Eleonora Mattozzi and Maria Giovanna Sodero.
The training activities, involving 45 children from two third classes of the Istituto Comprensivo Giovanni Palombini, with the participation of deaf children from the association La Chiocciolina Onlus, will be complemented and enriched by a series of guided tours and explorations of the city, including visits to museums and art sites in the city of Rome and collaboration with various local organisations, including the Dadaumpa Association and the Fabrizio Giovenale Municipal Library.
The project will be an opportunity to experiment with the many possibilities offered by narratives to share a view, as wide and as high as possible, of one’s own present, past and future, with the aim of highlighting the importance of creating our own – different and original – idea of living in the city, experiencing art and telling about ourselves and our world.
Guardo in Alto was born in 2018 from the synergies of the partners AREA06/Festival Short Theatre, Fondazione Pastificio Cerere, PAV, Onlus CooperAzione and Musei Civici di Jesi, and is written and conceived by: Matteo Angius, Claudia Cavalieri, Helia Hamedani, Laura Marano, Francesca Messineo and Simona Cardinali.
Whatever form it takes in the future, it will always be remembered as a welcoming space, where it is easy to find your place, from where you can watch and freely exchange ideas with others.
